soy milk

Soy milk is a beverage made from soybeans containing about 3.5% protein, 2% fat, 2.9% carbohydrate, and 0.5% ash. The beverage is very popular among Asian countries. In Malaysia the drink is usually flavored with either white or brown sugar syrup. In Indonesian it is known as “susu keeled." In Vietnam, the soymilk may be flavored with ginger. Soy milk is also slowly becoming popular in India, where it widely sold in Tetra paks by various brands like Staeta. In the West, soymilk has become a popular alternative to cow’s milk.
